Overruling the President
A motion to overrule a decision of the President may be allowed if Speaker is satisfied that the decision of the President was made contrary to the recommendation of the Council of Presidential Advisors. The motion must be agreed to by no less than two-thirds of the total number of Members of Parliament (excluding nominated Members). Art 37(I)(F) and S.O. 44A.
Menolak Keputusan Presiden
Usul untuk menolak sesuatu keputusan Presiden boleh dibenarkan jika Speaker berpuas hati bahawa keputusan Presiden tersebut dibuat secara bertentangan dengan pengesyoran Majlis Penasihat Presiden. Usul itu harus disetujui oleh tidak kurang daripada dua pertiga jumlah keseluruhan Anggota Parlimen (kecuali Anggota dilantik). Perkara 37(I)(F) dan Peraturan Tetap 44A.
否决总统决定
如果议长认为总统的决定与总统顾问委员会的建议相悖，否决总统决定的动议可被获准。动议必须获得至少三分之二议员（不包括官委议员）的支持。

அதிபர் ஆலோசகர்கள் மன்றத்தின் பரிந்துரைக்கு மாறாக அதிபர் முடிவு செய்திருப்பதாக மன்ற நாயகர் மனநிறைவு அடைந்தால், அதிபரின் முடிவை மறுத்தழிப்பதற்கான தீர்மானத்தை அவர் அனுமதிக்கலாம். மன்றத்தில் உள்ள உறுப்பினர்களில் (நியமன உறுப்பினர்கள் நீங்கலாக) குறைந்தது மூன்றில் இரு பகுதி உறுப்பினர்களாவது தீர்மானத்திற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்திருக்கவேண்டும். சிங்கப்பூர் அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டம் ஷரத்து37(1)(F) மற்றும் நிலையான ஆணைகள் 44A.
